Are any of the ingredients or technologies in the Defying Serum exclusive? 

Yes. The White Chia Liposome and White Chia Protein Peptide both originate from White Chia Seed grown on our own certified organic farm in El Petacal, Mexico, as well as a NutriCert-certified partner farm in Bolivia. These ingredients and their associated skincare technologies are exclusive to Amway. 

Does the Defying Serum follow Artistry™ Clean formulation standards? 

Yes. As with all Artistry Skin Nutrition™ skincare, the Defying Serum is Artistry™ Clean. It has been formulated without parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and without over 1,700 other ingredients that customers may be concerned about. 

What testing or laboratory support was conducted?  

Clinical, consumer, and safety testing has been performed to support safety and efficacy claims to ensure the product is well tolerated, efficacious, and satisfies consumer expectations. 

Was the Defying Serum tested on animals? Does the Defying Serum contain any animal-derived ingredients?  

No. The Artistry™ brand opposes animal testing. Our products are not tested on animals unless they are required by government regulations to do so. Furthermore, we actively support alternatives to required animal tests – going as far as supplying alternative non-animal testing methods to government agencies for consideration. Please note that the formulas sold in China are different than those sold to the rest of the globe. 

Does the Defying Serum contain parabens or other concerning/often-asked-about ingredients? 

No. The Defying Serum has been effectively preserved without the use of parabens. It can be classified as paraben-free. In addition, it is free of drying alcohols, mineral oil, phthalates, cyclic silicones, and artificial colorants. 

What is the shelf life of the Defying Serum, and how long can I use it after it has been opened? 

The shelf life of the unopened product is three years (36 months). Once the product is opened, we recommend that it be used within 12 months to ensure full product efficacy. 

How should the Defying Serum be stored? 

Artistry Skin Nutrition™ skincare products should be stored in a cool, dry place, out of direct light. 

Is the serum packaging recyclable? 

Artistry Skin Nutrition Correcting Serum cartons are recyclable* and produced from paper that has been sourced from responsibly managed forests by a supplier that practices sustainable forestry.

When and how frequently do I use the Defying Serum? 

For best results the DEFYING SERUM should be used 2x a day, morning and evening, as part of the ‘Treat’ step within your skincare routine (cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize, protect), followed by your preferred Skin Nutrition moisturizer. 

Is the Defying Serum compatible with other Artistry™ skincare products? 

Yes, the Serum was created to be aesthetically compatible with other Artistry Skin Nutrition™ and Artistry™ products. 

Can I use the Defying Serum with my current Artistry Skin Nutrition™ regimen?  

Yes. The DEFYING Serum is an essential part of your Artistry Skin Nutrition™ regimen. Every morning and evening, apply the serum as part of the ‘treat’ step in your skincare routine (cleanse, tone, treat, moisturize, protect). 

Can I use the Defying Serum with the Artistry Skin Nutrition™ VC+HA3 Daily Serum? 

Yes. The Defying Serum has been dermatologically tested and is safe to use with Artistry Skin Nutrition™ VC+HA3. In fact, using both serums together has been tested in Artistry labs and proven to deliver even greater benefits vs using the Defying Serum or Vitamin C +HA3 Serum alone. 

Can I use the Defying Serum and the Correcting Serum together? 

It is safe to use both, by either combining or alternating as part of your (AM + PM) routine. For best results, we recommend selecting the serum that’s formulated to address your unique skin concerns, however some consumers may prefer a lighter serum in the am and richer serum in the pm. 

Examples of combined use: 

• Defying Serum used in the am.; Correcting Serum used in the pm or vice versa.  
• Defying Serum + Correcting Serum used in the am and pm.  

After cleansing and toning, dispense 3 pumps onto fingertips and apply to face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Use morning and evening. Follow with moisturizer. Discontinue use if persistent irritation occurs.
