IDENTIFYING YOUR UNDERTONE

Finding the right undertone is often confusing for consumers. To simplify the selection, we created our customized Tone Tally. Start with a “Tone Tally” of 100, then add or subtract based on your answers to these simple questions:

Before use, shake well—especially if you haven’t used it in a while.

Place one or two pumps onto the back of your hand.

Using your fingertips or preferred applicator, apply the foundation starting at the center of the face (or wherever more coverage is needed). Smooth over face, moving outward. Focus on one area at a time and blend well. To build coverage, add a little more foundation.

It’s easy to customize the look by changing up your technique:

• Sheer, Tinted-Moisturizer Effect: Use one pump and your fingertips. Rub the foundation between your fingers first to warm the formula, then apply. Work from the center of the face, blending outward until smooth. Finish by lightly pressing the formula into skin with fingertips or palms.
• Dewy Sheer-to-Medium Coverage: Use two pumps and a damp sponge (any shape is fine). Work from the center of the face to the edges, “bouncing” the foundation onto your skin. Blend outward. Finish by flipping the sponge to the clean side for a final blending pass.
• Flawless Medium Coverage: Use two pumps and a brush. Apply to cheeks, nose, chin and forehead (in that order), then use the brush to blend outward. Add foundation to build coverage. Finish by lightly pressing and blending the formula into skin with fingertips.

What type of coverage does Serum Foundation provide?

Serum Foundation provides sheer to medium coverage which is buildable. Because the formula blends easily, the foundation can be customized to your needs from a tinted-moisturizer effect to flawless medium coverage.

Does Serum Foundation contain SPF?

Yes. Artistry Future Glow™ Serum Foundation has SPF 35 PA++. This helps minimize skin exposure and helps prevent future skin damage caused by UV exposure that can cause premature skin aging.

Which skin types is Serum Foundation best suited for?

Serum Foundation is designed for all skin types. The nourishing, youth-and-complexion-care formula is ideal for normal-to-dry skin.

Is Serum Foundation safe to use on my skin?

Serum Foundation is dermatologist and allergy tested. In addition, it is non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic.

Are any ingredients or technologies in Serum Foundation exclusive?

Yes. The extracts from White Chia Seed and Pomegranate, grown on our Nutrilite™ farms, are exclusive to Amway brands.

Does Serum Foundation follow Artistry™ Clean formulation standards?

Yes. As with all Artistry™ brand products, Serum Foundation meets the Artistry™ Clean standards. It has been formulated with no mineral oil, parabens, phthalates or any of the over 1,000 other ingredients on our No-No List.

Does Serum Foundation contain parabens or other often-asked-about ingredients?

No. Serum Foundation has been effectively preserved without the use of parabens. It can be classified as paraben-free.

In addition, Serum Foundation is formulated with no cyclic silicones, sulfate surfactants, mineral oil, phthalates or talc, and does not include animal-derived ingredients.

Is Serum Foundation tested on multiple ethnicities?

Yes. As with all Artistry™ products, Serum Foundation was designed for all ethnicities, and was carefully tested on multiple ethnicities.

Was Serum Foundation tested on animals?

The Artistry™ brand opposes animal testing. Our products are not tested on animals unless they are required by government regulations to do so. Furthermore, we actively support alternatives to required animal tests—going as far as supplying alternative non-animal testing methods to government agencies for consideration. Please note that the formulas sold in China are different than those sold to the rest of the globe.

Does Serum Foundation contain any animal-derived ingredients?

No. Serum Foundation is free from animal-derived ingredients and the global formulas (excluding China) are registered with The Vegan Society.

What is the shelf life of Serum Foundation, and how long can I use it after opening?

The shelf life of the unopened product is 2 and half years (30 months). Once the product is opened, we recommend that it be used within 12 months to ensure full product efficacy.

NOTE: If you haven’t used Serum Foundation in a while, be sure to shake well before use, as the formula can become separated over time.

How should Serum Foundation be stored?

Artistry™ makeup should be stored in a cool, dry place, out of direct light. Avoid excessive heat, and avoid freezing and thawing the product.

Can I use Serum Foundation on top of my Artistry Skin Nutrition™ moisturizer with SPF30 or Multi-Defense UV Protect SPF50+?

Yes! Serum Foundation and your Artistry Skin Nutrition™ UV products can be used together. To avoid the foundation from streaking, allow the sunscreen formula to fully absorb before applying Serum Foundation.

Can I use Serum Foundation with my current Artistry™ makeup routine?

Yes! Make Serum Foundation an essential part of your daily makeup routine. It should be applied after your primer or sunscreen, and before your concealer, powder or powder foundation.

How do I choose the right shade of Serum Foundation?

PACKAGE DESIGN

What are the air pockets found in Serum Foundation?

The small amount of air at the top is normal. It is called “head space” and it allows the pump to be inserted and work properly during the filling process. Remind customers that Amway guarantees that each package contains 30 mL of product.

Is the Serum Foundation glass bottle safe from breakage?

All our products are designed and tested with Amway standards. The Serum Foundation glass bottle was tested to endure the shock from daily usage. Of course, the bottle should always be handled with appropriate care.

NOTE: DO NOT lift the bottle by the cap. Always hold the bottle itself because cap may be separated.

Does the square shape leave formula in the corners when you are finishing a bottle?

No. The inner part of the bottle is round and has been designed to minimize the amount of residue.

How much should you pump for one application?

We suggest using one or two pumps on the back of your hand. However, apply as much or as little product as you need to create the look you want.
